The Krewe of Barkus New Orleans

Absolutely one of the most fun and creative Mardi Gras Parades is the Krewe of Barkus! Hundreds of wonderfully costumed pets parade through the French Quarter while thousands of people applaud them. Some animals are on floats and some are on leashes. Of course there is a King and a Queen of the parade as well. This is a spectacular event thanks to many, many volunteers and it all benefits animal charities. This year it will be February 7, at 2Pm. Of course all of New Orleans Mardi Gras is fabulous-this is my favorite event!
